From Echoes in Texture: A Story of Play, Experimentation, and Collective Creativity
ANOM STUDIO ATELIER(OPC)Share
At our atelier, we believe that creativity doesn’t always follow a brief, it often emerges when you give yourself the freedom to play. This is the philosophy behind one of our most cherished collections, From Echoes in Texture.
A few months each year, we set aside our ongoing production schedules and invite the entire studio team into a world without constraints. Here, every member of an incredible group of artisans and collaborators experiments with materials of their choice, exploring textures, forms, and patterns in ways that are spontaneous, bold, and completely unplanned. There’s no brief, no deadline, only curiosity and the joy of creation.
Once the exploration is done, we gather together to share and reflect. We talk about the textures, the forms, and the emotions each piece evokes. We discuss the thought process behind each creation, the accidental discoveries that led to unique surfaces, and the stories embedded within the materials. This collective dialogue transforms experimentation into insight and inspiration.
One of the textures that emerged from this process instantly captured our imagination. Reminiscent of molten wax, it carries with it a cascade of memories, a tactile echo of collaboration and playful exploration. It reminds us of the extraordinary team we are fortunate to have, our very own superheroes whose creativity and dedication infuse every corner of our studio with life and meaning.
What we have learned through this exercise is simple yet profound: you don’t need a designer’s degree to create something extraordinary. What matters is intention, curiosity, and a willingness to let the material speak. A design, after all, is most powerful when it has its own soul and story.
From Echoes in Texture is not just a collection of pieces; it is a celebration of play, experimentation, and the magic that happens when a team comes together to create without boundaries. It is a testament to the belief that the truest expressions of design come not from instruction, but from inspiration, collaboration, and the joy of discovery.
